Located in Alice Springs / Mparntwe in Central Australia and completed in 1958, the Alice Springs High School was sited at the base of ANZAC Hill, also known as Untyeyetwelye and Atnelkentyarliweke in the local Arrernte language from from 1961-1972. From 1972, the school site was in the suburb of Gillen.
The school closed in December 2009, when it was merged into the Centralian Middle School in 2010.
